The subconscious mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy at times, and it all depends how you use it.
What is the subconscious mind?
The subconscious mind is a part of your consciousness, and deals with your feelings, emotions, images, and visualizations. Like the conscious mind it is susceptible to influences from the outside. While your conscious mind deals in logic, thoughts, emotions, and ideas, the realm of subconscious mind might seem a bit more evasive and somewhat mythical.
We bury a lot of our repressed emotions and ideas into the subconscious mind since we are sometimes self programmed or programmed by others to do so since we lack the knowledge of how to deal with some of our emotions and thought patterns.
Rest easy because the subconscious mind can be deprogrammed and set aright to align with what you want and desire in your life. From now on think of your subconscious along with the conscious mind as your best friends who can work together with you on building a life that you truly do want without repressing feelings and emotions you didn't understand before.
Repressed emotions and thoughts
It is important to know which emotions and thoughts we have repressed over the course of our life slowly but surely. Find out over time and patience any overly negative emotions that have you trapped in status quo in any area of your life. You can do this with a professional therapist or in therapy or alone or with a little help from online advice.
Whatever we repress eventually resurfaces in our lives, so next time deal with it in a calm and serene way by simply observing what you feel and think without judgment and see where it all stems from. Your awareness, or your consciousness consists of these two parts called conscious and the subconscious minds. Lets call them Adam and Eve. One is a masculine principle which deals with the five senses and rational thinking, and the other is a feminine principle which deals with more inner senses such as intuition, dreams, imaginations and emotions. Both are equally important but one without the other doesn't work as well as you'd imagine.
How to influence your subconscious mind
In a relaxed state you can influence your subconscious mind through the conscious mind. But be aware that the subconscious mind cannot be forced into anything. The more you force thoughts and emotions onto it, the more it will ignore them. The influence must be genuine and natural.
Genuine influence is achieved through visualizations, imagination and positive thought and emotional patterns that create the life you want from the inside to the outside. This doesn't mean you always have to be happy and positive since we all deal with negative and the negative is there to serve a very important purpose. Use the negative to your advantage and learn from things and emotions that make you uneasy. Sometimes it might be a message about something in your life that needs fixing or correcting. Sometimes it might be something in your past with which you still have to make peace with in your own way over time and with patience.
Using imagination, visualization and positive affirmations
You can use all of the three mentioned techniques to influence the subconscious mind through your conscious mind each day to better your life and manifest the things and experiences you want in your life. There is no need to pressure yourself or your subconsciousness with anything. Simply pick your innermost desire and imagine what it would be like to already have it. Build a scenario in which you already have or are experiencing what you want from this life in a state akin to sleep, a relaxed state where you are one with your imaginations.
